MICHAEL L. BACON

Mike Bacon received his Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 1976. Mike maintains a state wide practice focused on tax increment financing and business and economic development.

He has consulted on a significant number of tax increment financing projects in more than 40 Nebraska communities involving multinational, national and local companies.

Mike is past president of the Nebraska Diplomats, a statewide organization of business leaders assisting in state economic development recruitment. He is the current president of the Gothenburg Improvement Company, chairman, of the Dawson County Area Development board, a member of the Gothenburg Housing Development Corporation and member of the Board of Directors of the Gothenburg Memorial Hospital District and First State Bank.

Currently Mike holds a Nebraska Abstracters certificate and is a licensed title insurance agent.

He has presented to communities and state and local Chambers of Commerce and development organizations on economic development and tax increment finance issues.
